Introducing eva gomi tenshi's 4th album, and the 4th chapter of the heartbroken series! 🥀 This release is incredibly special as it celebrates his 10 year anniversary in the music scene. Huge congrats to eva! We’ve had the honour of knowing him personally and collaborating on over 100 releases together since 2020. Here’s to many more!

“i first conceptualised the hbv series probably about 9 years ago. when i was living in japan as a student i was super isolated in the countryside and started making edm as a way to pass the time. then after going back to england for a while and going through some tough times i realised that music was like my catharsis. whenever i felt an emotion, the best way i could express it was through creating music. in 2016 i got into like soundcloud sample focused old school lofi and had a lot of fun making that but i wanted to release music i could call my own and i was proud of, so i just started making samples of my own. that's when i had the idea to send my weird samples off to people and collect a large group of collaborators who could all bring their own style to my music and create a variety of tracks. so over the like three previous hbv i made a lot of random things, from jazz to rnb to trap to folk and whatever else.

now I'm a lot more grown as a person and as a musician i kinda wanted to celebrate my origin and the fact I've been making music as eva gomi tenshi (previously ブロックル) for 10 years. so i decide lets make another collab album. but because i feel so differently than i did years ago i wasnt sure if it's vol iv at first, or i should've named it something else. then sonically i always wanted to bring the twinkly guitar riffs from midwest emo and mix it with lofi as i felt like this guitar style really lends itself to making some beautiful and unique melody and harmony. i like creating new and unique things, same as out west my cowboy lofi project” - eva gomi tenshi
